For obvious reasons there are a good number of magazines on sale in the United States, most of them are very good. All of them are very easy to subscribe to and only need a phone call and a credit card to put you on their mailing list. If I had to choose just one I would go for 'Civil War News'. This is a large newspaper format with four sections totaling approximately 88 pages covering current Civil War related news items, book reviews, re-enacting news and loads of sutlers adverts.
